Fully loaded MPC 60 Mk 1 in beautiful shape. The expanded RAM, OS and SCSI easily make this worth it. You’d spend $600 in upgrades alone — the components alone are worth 1.5x the opening bid! Link
Akai S950 sampler with maxed out RAM (2.25MB). Not only is this a nice looking S950, the RAM is maxed out so that alone should get you droolin’? Haven’t seen RAM or a mexed out S950 on eBay in a loooooong time, so don’t pass this one up! Link
Clean looking S900 sampler with rack ears. Link
Clean looking MPC3000 Limited Edition which comes with power cable. Link
Stock looking MPC-60 Mk 1. Opening bid is $500. Link
Clean looking S950 with only a few scratches. I’m assuming it has stock RAM since it’s not mentioned. Much more versatile than the S900, if you’re on the fence between these two workhorses, I’d go with the S950 at least for the time-stretch functionality. Link
Two boxes of samples come with this Akai S900. One box is labeled voices so the discs have some potential! Link
MPC3000 that comes with its original box and packing materials. Don’t know much about the specs, but check out my other post about where to get cheap RAM for this amazing machine. Link
MPC60 Mk1 looks to be in good shape. Only has 2.12 OS, but the RAM is expanded. Link
Haven’t seen one of these on eBay for the longest time. Don’t really understand why, maybe people are really hanging onto them after all these years. Weak backlight and missing a knob, but fully functional. UK Seller so if you’re not in the UK, make sure you can supply the correct power to it.
It is foolish not to max out the RAM in your MPC 3000. You can put as much as 32MB into the 3000 before it maxes out (It comes with 2MB stock). More RAM = more samples. You can get seven minutes of sampling time with maxed out RAM.
The type of RAM you’ll need are 2 pcs of 16MB 30-pin SIMMS.
Below are several links below which are selling RAM for the 3000.
Reasonable priced starting bid for this classic MPC. Comes with manual and power cord, unsure about how much memory is installed. Link
This seller has multiple sizes available.
A real beauty. Link
This S900 needs some TLC. If you’re handy with electronics, this may be an easy fix for you. The floppy drive may be worth the opening bid, as Akai compatible drives are often tough to find.
Great doc on classic gear, these two parts focus on Akai and their samplers.
Looks like it could use a new backlight. I’m assuming it comes with stock RAM. Link
Awesome Akai shirt, however it’s not in my size, otherwise I’d be all over it. Link
“I’m relisting this item since it did not reach my reserve amount. I am also including with the MPC over 10 DVD/CD’s of sounds. This MPC 3000 is in great shape. The screen contrast is good, pads are great. I have memory fully expanded so sample time in stereo is 180 sum secs. It comes with painted black sides, original manual, power cord and some blank floppies. I am also throwing in my old dj akg k250 headphones.”
Sadly enough, this dog has more creativity than most of the beat chumps out there…
Informative video on You Tube.
