This auction is for my “backup” MPC 2000XL. That’s right! I have 2 of them and they both are being sold to help pay for more important things (the other totally loaded SE-3 Limited Edtion is being sold in a different Ebay auction). It really hasn’t got much use recently and it’s in great shape for its age. Everything 100% works as it should and it has always been very reliable and a true pleasure to use. It was originally the Studio Plus edition, but I removed the 8 outs to put in my other MPC. The EB-16 Sampleverb card is awesome and really opens up the sonic possibilities of this machine. I “customized” it with black pads and a few black buttons too that were from my other unit. It looks cool and the different color button layout just makes more sense visually to me. The auction also includes the power cord and a cd with thousands of samples to get you started.” Link

This auction is for my precious and shiny MPC 2000XL SE-3. This unit has only been used in a very clean and smoke free studio. I am a long time Akai user and this is the most amazing and beautiful piece of gear I have ever owned, but it now must be sold to help pay for more important things . It works like a charm, looks great, sounds incredible, and knowing Akai, will last a very long time. I put original light gray pads on it (from my other MPC also up for auction). They have a better feel and are softer to play on than the black ones that came with the unit (you can always buy new black pads for it if you want). I also swapped out a few of the buttons from my other MPC. It’s a minor change that looks cool and visually makes more sense to me.
The MCD card reader ROCKS!!! This is a handy edition to any MPC. It reads and writes to SD and Compact Flash cards. This gives you the ability to quickly load files and swap files from your PC. I have included a 512MB SD and a CD with a few thousand sounds to get you started. The 8 outputs are handy to have for recording and you can route the EB-16FX to either the stereo outs or any of the 8 outputs. For those of you not familiar with the EB-16 Sampleverb FX card, it gives you 4 different effect channels and 2 of those are multi-fx…really powerful stuff!! I have included all the cables (2 midi+2 audio+power) to get you started so you can get right to the business of makin’ beats. ” Link
