“ou are considering an Akai MPC 2000 drum machine. The unit looks well used and the memory looks to have been blanked out. There are problems with the unit as follows:
1) the Volume knob is missing // 2) the Power switch in the back is Broken // 3) The front display cover is loose and slides around as though someone went inside to see if they could fix the power switch.
The unit powers up when you push in the power switch and hold it in. If you release the switch the unit cuts off. The unit also comes with a zip 250 disc drive and a couple extra discs that it came in with. The unit is being Sold AS-IS, as this would be a great project for someone who knows mkore about these.” Link

“The Akai CD3000XL is a 16 bit professional stereo digital sampler. It’s an 32 voice polyphonic sampler, using 16 bits sampling technique and 44.1 kHz sampling frequency. It’s equipped with a 3.5″ HD floppy drive and a CD-ROM driver so it can load samples from the Akai S1000, EMU and Roland sound library.

I’ve owned this unit from new and fitted it with the maximum 32Mb of RAM. The CD-ROM has alway been a bit tempremental. I’ve had it replaced but it was just the same afterwards and I’ve always found that having lifted sounds into RAM the best thing is to store immediately back to the ZIP drive (over SCSI). I’m including my 100Mb ZIP disks (about 10) and these contain various samples used over the years. Also the original AKAI sample library for the 3000 series on 4 CD-ROMs, the manual and all leads.

The unit is in excellent condition as it’s only been used in the studio. It cost me a fortune back in the day but now running everything out of my Apple Macs I have to bid it a tearfull farewell.” Link

I really hate to do this. I need to sell my baby. I have purchased new equipment and need the extra cash.
This is an MPC 2000 XL with the 8 outs, 32 megs, and a built in zip100 drive. The screen is flawless, the unit is is also in great cosmetic condition (no scratches, damage, or stickers). The only flaw is that the note variation knob moves freely, still has the end cap, so it’s an easy fix ($15 at mpcstuff.com), or just use it like I did.
Also included:
SCSI cable and backup zip drive (already has one installed internally in the unit, this is just in case one ever failed)
Gold connectors/adapters (RCA, headphone, etc).
Printed manual
USB zip drive (to take samples from PC to MPC)
3 DVD tutorials if you want them cause I found them online” Link
