“Here i am selling my Akai MPC 2000xl which i bought 6-8 months ago. After always wanted one i decided to buy one but unfortunatly i’m just too busy to make the most of it these days so am passing it on to someone who can enjoy it. Its in absolute mint condition, as far as i’m aware im only the second owner. Its in absolutely incredible condition.
Comes with a external zip drive, zip disk and all leads.
This was sold to me under the impression it had the full ram upgrade with it, although i haven’t even taken it apart to check so aren’t completey sure about this…….they are dirt cheap anyway.
I would list all the specs. for this item but i guess if you’re looking at it you already know the reputation behind them as one of the essensial tools for hiphop/rnb production.” Link

Listed as a “MPC2000xl” with no Akai in the title so this may get past most searches. Never heard of running a ZIP 750 drive in an MPC? Anyone familiar with getting a Zip 750 drive to work in an MPC? Currently at 99 cents…
“For sale is this AKAI MPC2000xl. works perfect and has a rare custom face plate. This unit also has the 8 output expantion, the FX unit and the full sampling memory!! All buttons, pads faders and knobs are in excellent condition. It has a 750mb zip drive installed that I can not verify weather or not works as I have no 750mb zip disks. I can say however that 750mb drives do NOT read 100mb or 250mb disks. I used it with a external zip drive that has recently reached the end of it’s life and would be happy to throw in the SCSI cable I was using with the unit. Oh yea and there is a superficial scuff on the screen (does NOT effect functionality or usability in any way!) that I have pictured below.” Link

“This auction is for one used Akai MPC1000. Unit is used, but still functions 100%. All the pads trigger, and all buttons, knobs, and faders are noise-free. I’ve replaced the standard Akai OS with the newest custom JJOS software. I’m including the original Akai compact flash card that shipped with the unit, as well as an extra 64MB one. Power cable is not pictured, but included. A little while back, the screw holding on the left red panel was stripped, so I had to tape it to hold it on. The tape is barely noticeable, and purely cosmetic. The unit is being sold as-is, but guaranteed to be in working order when you receive it.” Link
