Das Plastikcase und die Metallplatte sind in schwarz umlackiert.
Die Metallplatte hatte ich noch mit Klarlack versiegelt um den Unterlack halbarer zu machen. Das Lackieren ist gut gelungen, eine 2 würde ich sagen, -Handarbeit mit der Sprühdose, doch leider ist mir bei der Plastik-Displayabdeckung die Farbe verwischt als ich versucht hatte es zu reinigen ( das Plastik-Glas mit dem Akai Roger Linn Logo – siehe Foto. ), sonst wäre es perfekt geworden.
Die Displayabdeckung oder wie man es Bezeichnen mag, müsste dann von einer anderen MPC übernommen werden, dieses ist simpel mit doppelseitigem Klebeband befestigt – kann man vorsichtig von unten herraus drücken wenn man das Topcase herunter genommen hat und dann auf dieses Case hier aufkleben – das ist unkompliziert.

Das Data-Wheel hatte ich, da die Farbe eh schon halb runter war, ganz abgeschliffen und den Fader in silber lackiert. Wenn man das Teil wieder zusammen setzt sieht es echt gut aus, wor allem mit den silbernen Schrauben auf der Frontplatte.

Wer also eine nicht mehr ganz so gut erhaltene MPC hat und den Anblick nicht mehr erträgt, kann Sie mit diesen Teilen hier nochmal hübsch gestalten.

Ich hoffe jemand kann damit etwas anfangen, wäre schade es entsorgen zu müssen.

“Up for auction is a used mpc 2000 xl in working condition this is a good machine my nephew used and made plenty music with it and now has no use for it .I would say its in fair condition it just missing the data knob which you can still use and turn and the note variation fader which still goes up and down the plastic is just missing as you can see in the picture. Cosmetically the machine is clean none of the words are faded and it still has plenty hits left in it the lcd screen has little bit of lines in it which is common wear and tear for an mpc but you can still see. ” Link
