I bought this about an year ago on ebay and it had very little use.
It’s in great cosmetical condition, no scratches, it only has normal wear. It also has a very little bump on a corner. Check the pictures.
All the pads are working and feel great.
The screen is getting old but it’s still readable.
OS v. 3.10 (MPC3000 OS)

The unit has no floopy drive has it broke down at some point.
I never got around to changed it, so feel free to install one, a compact flash card or other compatible medium of your choice.

“Here’s a used MPC 3000 production center in good working condition. There is some use-related wear on all the buttons particularly the record, stop, play buttons at the bottom right. All the pads and buttons work. This has a 3.5″ floppy drive and is version 3.11. This is a very versatile MIDI sequencer and rhythm programming sampler. The floppy drive works and there are 4 floppies with factory downloaded sounds on them.

I just haven’t had the time to make this unit useful. I play the drums and thought it would be nice to have this in my studio (I bought it used) but it hasn’t been used much since I got it. It appears to have been well-used but not abused. This unit is sold as-is but I stand by my description, so I’ll offer a 48 hour return on it. The MPC3000 is a classic beat box and it is a vintage item that is still being used by some of the top hip-hop artists and other studio producers.” Link

“Up for auction is this Akai MPC 60MKII. This item is in good cosmetic condition, normal wear and tear, some scratches, a small crack, etc. The red paint makes the scratches show up more (no I did not paint it red, I got it that way). This item is in the same condition that it was in when I got it, it has been in my personal studio area, no smoking or anything. Mechanically, it is in great shape. It is missing a screw here and there, nothing crazy, but it works just fine, no issues. It has the 3.10 OS, which basically makes it an MPC 3000 in a 60′s skin. This unit The back light was replaced recently, so its nice and bright. The disk drive works fine. Fully upgraded memory! This thing has been a staple of the work I’ve done around here recently, but times are tough, so the MPC has to go. All pads are fine, all buttons and knobs are fine. Some of the writing is coming off of some of the buttons (actually, just the buttons in the picture), but if you’re familiar with the MPCs, you’ll have no issues. This machine works great, never did like the red, but if the machine works, who cares what color it is? This is an 18 yr old piece of equipment so this will be sold AS-IS. I am going to throw in several disks worth of drums and sounds as well as a bunch of blank disks so you can start your own work. Please, if you have any questions, ask! Shipping will be fairly high, as this is a big machine. I will get a shipping quote right after the item is won.
