“Hello, I’ve decided to sell my Akai MFC42 analog stereo filter to help fund some other gear. This one is in excellent condition and comes with it’s rack ears. This is one very cool analog filter, I know I’m going to miss it. This has dual filters which include: lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and notch. It also has a multimode LFO and an ADSR which can be controlled through midi and includes a really cool sounding phaser and distortion unit on board. This is really a cool unit and built like a tank…but it’s the sound that makes this thing really shine.” Link

“This is the classic Akai S900 sampler, in excellent working condition! All functions work on the unit.

Because the floppy disk drive had failed, I had it replaced with a computer style floppy disk drive. I am a synth technician, so I also modified the floppy cable to work with the newer style drive interface. It records disks and loads them fine. There is a small toggle switch installed right above the floppy, which you would push up when the floppy is in the drive. When there is no floppy in the drive, or if you don’t want to use the drive, the switch can be left off. If the switch is left on and there is no disk in the drive, the unit will continue to try and load from an empty disk drive until you turn the switch off. It is quite easy to use. This new drive should last for quite a while, and I thought using it was preferable to finding a used drive somewhere which would be expensive and quite possibly a used drive might not have a long life expectancy. Furthermore, you can easily install a new, readily available floppy drive from a computer if you ever need a new one!

The drive works fine with new floppy disks, but since I believe the unit was set up for 750kb floppies, you need to put a little piece of tape over the hole to transform your new 1.44 mb floppies into use as 750kb. I will include a working floppy disk with the unit and you can see how easily this is done.

There is a tiny bit of space above this new floppy drive, because the new drive is a bit slimmer than the old.

Finally, I am 99% certain the unit will work with the original older floppies for the akai. I don’t have any on hand to test that particular circumstance. If you find that it does not work with your original akai floppies, you can send the unit back to me and I will refund everything minus your return shipping to me. You can also send me one out and I will test it for you, if you prefer.

“Up for auction is a used but great condition Akai MPC3000LE Sampling Drum Machine I recently purchased here on eBay. It comes with the following: 1.44 Floppy Drive (I tested it and though these are slow it does work), 3.11 OS on Rom (see photo), SCSI (of course & works too), 16mb ram (see photo) and AC power cable. Both side arm’s paint is peeling off (see photo) and the arm rest has little paint scratches but all these pieces can be repainted or dumped for some wooden ones you’d see @ Forat.com for a few bills. The backlight screen works but it’s not THAT bright but again that can easily be replaced for cheap. I don’t have a manual or original shipping box but I will bubble-wrap this baby to death for added protection. The 16 pads all work great and there are no small tears or dimples on any of them.” Link

Old school Sampler mit sehr schönen und warmen Sound dank echten analog Filter !

Samples können in Echtzeit mit den Reglern bearbeitet werden, einzigartig. Ausserdem ist die Autoloop-Funktion genial. Nie war es so einfach zu samplen.

Mit dazu gibt es noch eine Menge an Disketten zum Soundspeichern.

Alles komplett verbaut im Hardcase.
Der Sampler funktioniert einwandfrei, auch das seltene dazu passende Diskdrive funktioniert, man muss lediglich den Deckel beim speichern und laden gedrückt halten.

for sale a rare akai s-612 sampler with the ultra rare md-280 diskdrive. it comes with lots of disks and a hardcase ( where everything is built in ). the sound of the s-612 is very warm and full. thanks the real analog filter inside. everything works fine on the s-612, the md-280 diskdrive works also, but you have to hold the disk door while load and save. please ask for international shipping costs.
