I bought this new about 5 months ago… Made a few nice beats on it, and then the OS froze up suddenly… (I was running OS1).

Fortunately, I bought one with warranty. AKAI replaced the unit with no questions asked, and I have had it sitting here (not the same one I had, A NEW UNIT) for about 2 months now… In my smaller studio, I really dont have the space.

Like I said, this is a NEW mpc, however, if in the future, something did happen, the warranty would have to be processed using my info.

“You are bidding on an absolutely mint condition black Akai MPC 1000 that is fully loaded. This box is significantly better than similar looking MPC 1000′s you see advertised right now on ebay. If you aren’t careful you will buy a base unit with limited features and bad pads. Here’s what you get with this particular unit:

– Fully loaded with the maximum 128MB sample memory (standard units only come with 16MB)
– Fully working memory card reader (some used MPC units have bad readers — beware)
– 80GB hard drive (optional on the standard units)
– Over 6GB of samples on the hard drive including over a hundred complete drum kits
– Fully licensed JJOS1 & JJOS2 ($75 value)– I believe this is the best OS available for the MPC 1000 — way better than Akai’s standard OS

I have taken care of this box like a baby for the past 3 years. It is in mint condition with no scratches or marks. Everything works great. It has the latest JJOS2 installed (version 1.27). It has the pad upgrade kit installed. You cannot buy a better MPC 1000. Oh, and I’ll also throw in a dust cover.

These markings are on the item which may help in correctly identifying it. The Akai MPC1000 Production Center is in very good condition. This very useful music center has several inputs and outputs, such as; Record IN (right,left), Stereo OUT (right, left), assignable mix OUT (1,2,3,4), MIDI OUT (A,B), MIDI IN (1,2), digital (out,in), Ethernet, headphones, memory card slot, and 2 foot switches.

In addition to being used, the item has these defects. There is one minor scratch. It also DOESN’T come with a memory card.

There are several different functions for your music, such as; after Q1 Q2, F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 F6, PAD 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, PAD BANK A, B, C, D, Data, Track mute, next seq, erase, tap tempo note repeat, mode, numeric, main window, undo seq, shift, play, start, rec, over dub, and stop.
