Don’t be fooled by some of the other MPCs on eBay, many have zip drives or even floppy drives. “This is my baby and I’m sad to let it go! It’s a Blue Akai MPC 2000 xl. This particular one has the mcr Memory Card Reader upgrade as you can see form the pictures. You can also see that it loads up perfectly fine. It also has SCSI and SMPTE(something not found too often on the blue MPC’s). The two issues with it are that the enter button is missing and the slider is missing it’s control knob/slider. These can easily be bought/replaced and self-installed.” Link

“I had this MPC for about 7 years, still in great condition and the sound is phenomenal. If you are looking for that gritty, hard, old school hip hop drum feel; then this is the machine for you. Kept in a smoke and dust free environment. The LCD screen is still in great condition. The F3 button may need a harder push when functioning the item, but the other buttons work great.

It comes with 32 MB sample memory as standard. It supports a sampling rate of 44.1 kHz, in 16 bit stereo or mono. Swing and quantizing functions also available. It comes with the zip drive as well.” Link
