“Up for auction is an Akai mpc2500 Sequencer/sampler unit. This unit is fully functional except the volume knob which either goes really quiet or really loud. It does sweep through the entire range of volume and therefor this unit is being sold as is for parts and repair. Physically the unit is in good condition with just your typical scratches you’d expect for the age. Ive used this unit before and just used the volume from the mixer to control the output, but for someone handy it would probably be best just to fix the issue. Included is a 4Gb compact flash card. In good working order. The bracket that the rec & main volume pots are attached to have bent at some point in its lifetime. They still work perfectly fine and can easily just be bent back into position if you really need them to be, but as I said, it doesn’t affect their use in any way so I never bothered.
The pads are in great condition despite what the one photo shows. When I originally received the item, the pads were really dirty and I cleaned it up and the dirt had left some marks.
