“This listing is for a USED Akai MPC 2000 Sampler Sequencer. I have owned this machine for a few years and it has been in a smoke free environment while it’s been in my possession.
Cosmetically this unit is in great condition. All of the labels on the face of this MPC are visible and legible. The screen is in great shape and without any screen lines. This listing includes a floppy disk with the 1.72 operating system update. This unit has 8 individual mix outputs but does not have the effects board installed or SMPTE expansion. There are some scratches here and there on the sides and backside of the unit from use. Please refer to the pictures for more details about the units cosmetic condition. Below are the functions and parts of the MPC which have been tested.
• Main Volume, Recording Gain, data and digit knobs are working
• Keys 0-9 are working including the shift and enter keys
• F1- F6 are working as well as main screen and open window keys
• Tap Tempo, sequence, step, go to and start end bar keys are working.
• The cursor keys are mostly working. The right and arrow down keys are working great. The left arrow key works most of the time and the lastly the up arrow key only worked a couple times while I was testing the unit. (These arrow keys may just need cleaning)
• Rec, over dub, stop, play, play start, pad bank, full level and 16 levels are working as they should.
• Pads 1-16 are responsive and have no issues
• Assignable Mix outputs 1-8 are working properly
• Record inputs (left and right) are working along with stereo outputs (headphones, left and right)

“Classic and ridiculously great condition. I’ve taken great care of my first love. I started with my brother’s MPC 60II when I was 16. The 1st MPC I owned was a 2000 classic and I’ve owned 3 2000xl’s. As for hardware I own 2 Boss SP202s in which I’ve sold, 2 Roland MV8000s in which I almost sold my last one because I thought it was broken (thanks for not bidding, hard drive just needed the new update and disk protection turned off) and an ASR-X.

“Up for sale is a nice Akai MPC 2000XL MIDI Production Center. This Drum Machine is in good overall shape, with only some light wear on the outside in the form of scratches. No dents or water damage. Some small dust in between some of the keys/ knobs, but this can probably be cleaned. I don’t know too much about these machines but I plugged it in and tested that it powered on. The shift keys work to change the unit to different modes and the cursor works well. Data wheel moves freely and the pop up screen can be adjusted with ease. Only one cap on the unit is missing, the left side fader cap, which can probably be replaced for about $5. Left fader seems a bit loose, not sure if this is the design or because of the missing cap.
The unit has what looks to be a built in floppy drive port in the lower left corner, but I have not tested it with a floppy drive. This unit shows free memory of SND= 32620K, which leads me to believe that the unit has 32MB of memory. I believe this unit is in good working condition and has many years of life left in it to make music. Please see photos for a detailed idea of what the condition is. Sampler will include a power cord. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
