“For sale is a used Akai ASQ-10 MIDI sequencer / drum machine. The ASQ-10 records and plays back MIDI sequencer and songs. It’s a MIDI sequencer only (same sequencer specifications as Akai MPC-60), it doesn’t contain any sounds of its own. It’s used to control other MIDI capable synthesizers and drum machines. This particular unit is missing the LCD screen because it went bad, has a bad floppy disk drive, and is missing the screws that attach the top and bottom of the case. The unit still closes since the back of the case has a hinge that connects the top and bottom. The unit powers on but since the disk drive is bad it can’t boot up. It did work when the disk drive was operational but it hasn’t been replaced and tested. It is in good cosmetic condition with no major flaws for a 25 year old instrument. Due to its current state it is being sold as-is for repairs. There are a few places on the web that use to sell replacement screens and disk drives so its possible to replace these parts it but I can’t guarantee their availability. I also can’t guarantee these are the only problems. Everything else worked fine before the disk and screen went out but it hasn’t been tested since. Includes a bound copy of the owner’s manual.
