“Selling the blue variant Akai MPC1000 sampler/sequencer with 8GB flash disk. I’m selling it as a parts unit, but think it should be a fairly easy fix for someone who is familiar with this type of equipment. The unit was installed with the JJOS2XL software before I acquired it and whenever it powers on it displays the message JJ OS2XL ver: 3.61 and tap tempo + power on > free JJOS. However when I follow the commands I am not able to get into the window display. This might just be a software issue where the card containing the JJOS update needs to be reset. “For sale is a used Akai MPC 1000 with power supply and original memory card and has the JJ OS v 3.16 installed.

It is being sold “as is” because even though it turns on and works OK in its current state (I have tested it), it will need some repairs to be brought fully up to great working condition. Some of the menu and navigation buttons are pressed in and require extra force to trigger, which can get annoying and should be fixed.
