“Akai MPC2000 w/ 32MB RAM & 8 Outputs Expanion – Black/Red Case
This classic MPC2000 with a custom paint job and pads has both upgraded memory and the 8 output expansion installed. The system is used, fully functional, and in good condition. The case has signs of normal use, including scuffs/scrapes and some peeling paint. It comes with power and audio cords – you’ll need your own MPC2000 OS floppy disk.” Link

MPC is in perfect working order, with original screen. (No lines, but one did appear once, a year ago, and never happened again).
Came to me in a very sorry state and carefully restored – Pad Sensors and NV Slider both replaced. All internal parts removed and cleaned. Case cleaned but still all-original paintwork.
Rear panel paint has scratches (see picture) and some light marks and chips on the front edge.
All switches, ports and buttons in full working order.
Accessories also in working order, but power supply for SCSI Zip drive has needed a minor repair on the low voltage side due to a cable break. It is fully working but I should point this out as it is not obvious from the picture.
Sad to see this go, but I need the space and its not getting the love it deserves. ”
I believe the note variation slider is not working, which is a common problem and an easy fix on these machines. Everything else is working as it should though. The pads feel super comfortable and nicely worn in, but in a good way. Very easy to play. All the buttons, knobs, switches, in & outs are all working. The screen is nice, no lines in the screen. Comes with the maximum full 32MB Ram and the newest OS 1.72 installed.
The machine itself is a little beat up. The frame feels slightly off and it’s not pressed all the way down. The buttons are still easy to press and use, it’s just not 100% secure and tight. The main out and record knobs are bent. It’s the frame below them that’s bent down some, but the knobs still work. General wear and tear and scratches and bumps and marks are present on the machine. The machine does work very well though except for the slider.
Included with the machine are about 30 floppy discs. 1 is the boot disc, which is needed to start up the machine. The other’s all just have like “drum kit, dilla drums, dope loops, etc” named on them. I’m honestly not really sure what’s on them, but I’m just throwing them in there. Power cable will also ship with the MPC.”
“Clean, well maintained example of the Akai MPC2000 ‘Studio Plus’ Edition, originally sold with the optional SMPTE expansion, EB-16 multi-effects and the assignable 8 outputs as standard. The sampler runs version 1.72 software and has the maximum 32mb or RAM, one boot disk is included. Original version 1.0 operators manual and 1.5 addendum are both included. Everything works as it should do, no lines in the screen. Recently replaced the floppy drive for a newer model. This MPC was intended for studio use and is in great shape. To get you going I’m throwing in a 3 metre 8-way audio loom for connecting the MPC assignable outputs to a mixer/audio interface and a box of (24) HD floppy discs for saving samples/sequences. A mains kettle lead will be included; this is a UK model 240v no transformer required.” Link
Very clean mpc, no dents no scratches, all the buttons work fine, no lines on the screen, only the fader is loose but easy to fix it.

“Classic bit of kit and in full working order comes with zip drive and sounds. There are a couple of blemishes on the front and just a few things that need addressing. I have provided a new note variation slider so that needs to soldered on, tell you the truth i have never used this. The unit also needs a volume knob cost very little from an MPC site and the on/off button housing is missing these you can get easy enough but you can still switch it on/off. You would also have to get the cable for the zip drive.” Link

“Up for sale is my MPC 2000 Classic that I bought a few years ago still work. I don’t use it anymore mainly used it as midi controller. “This item is broken and listed for repair or parts. The main issue with this is the it is missing the MPC2000 disk inside. Also the system starts to clicking inside when powering on. The LCD screen is darkening/vignette(?) so the middle on the screen is dark; near unreadable with the brightness. Cap is missing on the power button. No missing pad buttons or knobs.” Link
“This MPC is used. The first four pads work, however sometimes the sound produced from the top four pads is lighter so you have to hit those pads harder to get a decent sound. The rest of the pads work properly. The screen has no cracks. The menu is clear and legible. There are no issues within the MPC system. There is one small knob missing which I have included a photo of. The power button in the back is broken. The MPC STILL turns on. I poke the power button with a pen and it turns. Aside from that this MPC works well. There are no further issues with this gem. I am letting it got for the price I am because I am putting into consideration an estimated cost to get the MPC in perfect condition.”
