You won’t find one in better working condition. I recently got this back from Forat in October where he replaced the backlight and gave it a full look over and servicing, so you know that the backlight is clear and bright and will last for a long time. He replaced many of the switches – no more pressing them over and over again. He also replaced the scsi fuse so there are no issues at all loading and saving to the 250mb zip drive that is included with the box. You will have plenty of disks to get you started. There is one in the zip drive and a fresh unopened pack of 6 for 7 total. He checked out all the inputs, outputs, and pads, and cleaned and lubricated the stuff inside. All in all, the work totaled over $500, and I hardly used it since it came back. So don’t risk getting another mpc3000 where you don’t know if things are going to stop working after a short while.

The outside appearance is great too but shows signs of use. Not abuse but general use like a faded guitar. You can see that the transport buttons have faded in one of the buttons and the jog dial shows signs of use as well. Again, these are normal signs of use and I think gives it character. You can see in the photos as well that it loads up with 3.11 and has the max stereo sample time of 189.3 seconds. If you sample in mono it will be double that.” Link
