“Up for sale is my custom Bruce Forat modded Akai Mpc 3000. Bruce updated to the best software (3.5Vailixi)and cleaned all the pots and sliders. It has a brand new internal screen and custom Chrome Face plate which is 700 upgrade which makes it look wild. The only problem with chrome is it shows smudges and scratches. Wood front and side panels are maple. Only a little chunk got knocked out of the one side of the wood panels see in pic. The unit is used so it does have scratches and is not mint but nothing major is wrong. Brand new Fat pads w/sensors and a brand new spare white pads set if you want to swap them around. “Akai MPC 3000 LE in good condition. Has the Roger Linn 3.11 OS, not Valixi. Microtech card reader (the good expensive rare one) New thick black pads (MPC Stuff). New backlight. New tact switches on every button. New 3D printed buttons. 3D modeling professionally commissioned based on original buttons and buttons printed at Shapeways. Every single button replaced. New 3D printed buttons have a nice texture to them. New black volume and recording level knobs (MPC Stuff). Also comes with the original buttons and knobs. A few of the original buttons have broken from age but all of them will be included should you wish to reinstall them or sell them or attempt repair.
No reserve. Amazing machine in great condition. Vintage gear, including this one, have marks from years and years of use and are not for perfectionists. Music is not perfect. Good vintage gear is not perfect. If you don’t have experience with vintage gear and their associated imperfections I’d kindly ask you to move on to another auction. This machine has marks and scratches and bruises and is not perfect. It will last for years to come. It will make great music. It is as refurbished as I could manage and is functionally awesome and costmetically pretty darn sharp.”

“This MPC 3000 is in excellent to near-mint condition and 100% functional.
The screen and pads are original, with the brightness and sensitivity still fine. The memory was maxed to 32mb and the OS upgraded to 3.5 (Vailixi). I’m including the 3.11 OS eproms if someone prefers to switch back.
I’m also including the following parts (worth $200) to replace the floppy with an SD drive:
– Stratos Technology SCSI adapter & instructions
– SCSI2SD V5.0b drive
– Mounting bracket
Installation, if desired, is very straightforward well documented online.

“Only 2000 of these MPC 3000 LE (Limited Edition) were made in 2000 and this is number 333.
It is 100% functional and in good cosmetic condition. The MPC has been upgraded with the following:
• Out of production Vailixi 3.50 software (authentic version) which adds extra functionality.
• 32MB of RAM.
• SCSI Compact Flash card reader drive (and cable)
• Two (2) 2GB Compact Flash cards (non hot-swappable)
• Built in floppy drive
• New backlight (installed in January). It’s now bright, readable and wont need replacing for a good while.
Also included in the auction is the following
• Flight case for travel and safety (old photo, only one CF card included)
• Step down transformer to be used in the U.K and Europe (it’s a 220v US unit)
• All the cabling you will need to hook up everything.
• Pack of 10 sealed unused Sony High Density 3.5″ Floppy Disks
• Spare tact switches to replace any that become faulty or worn out

Recently installed brand new pad sensor sheet from mpc stuff.com.
There is some slight discoloring on the body from use and where the paint has worn. I have tried to document this in the photos. See for example around jog dial.”
