I upgraded to this from an mpc 1000 and you really never need to buy anything else! 80 gig hard drive, dvd disk used for sampling and recorded audio, 8 outputs, chop shop program, 8 track recorder, built in synth, and I am throwing in a 1 gig flash card. Unit is fully maxed with memory 192 megs. Once of the cool things about this mpc is you can hook up a mic and turntable directly to it, no amps needed!” Link

“Up for auction are 3 pieces of equipment I wanted to use but never got a chance to. I used the Akai MPC5000 a few times but that is it. The Akai S950 was only turned on a few times. The M-Audio ProjectMix i/o has had little use and is like new. My hopes were to get this all working with my software based studio and I never got around to it and eventually forgot about the project. So here are three items, in mint condition, rarely used, looking for a good home! The Akai MPC5000 is excellent condition (the plastic manufacturers sheet is still on the main screen.) Every function works flawlessly and it has a lot of samples loaded on it. It comes with stock memory and hard drive. It has a built in SD reader so it is very up to date. If you do not know about the MPC family, the 5000 is the flagship and comes with many more options than any of the other models. Along side the standard set up you would expect on a flagship MPC, there is a built in synth which is great for all the new Lil Wayne, Drake, etc. stuff. It is preloaded with all the best drum kits from 808′s to Linndrum….very cool unit.
The M-Audio ProjectMix is also in excellent condition. This board is very cool and will recognize most software platforms from Logic to Reason. It is fully motorized so full automation is possible in it looks incredible when all the sliders are moving on their own:)
The Akai S-950 I only used a few time. I got it mainly for time stretching and 12 bit drums butit is one of the best “vintage” samplers Akai ever put out so I wanted it in the studio. It is very old and one would expect normal wear and tear….Not this unit, it is mint! A perfect S950.” Link

*Custom Painted Blue Buttons(only Synth, Arpegiator, Input Thru, +, -, Enter and +/- button)
{and with the right paint so they do NOT flake, chip or wear}
*All the other Knobs and Buttons are blacked out(except for Rec Gain knob, And Rec/Overdub buttons)
and even the Black Slider tops have blue lines not white.
*The CF Card slot is also painted blue.
*Cursor is Grey and the Data Wheel is Silver to break up all the Black a bit. ” Link
