If you clicked on this ad you know what this is. Known for its lo-fi gritty sampling engine and rock-solid sequencing, this unit is fully functional and built like a tank.

All knobs, buttons and pads work perfectly, as does the slider and the floppy drive. This particular unit has been upgraded with the now unavailable Roger Linn 3.10 OS upgrade on ROM chips, which essentially turns this into a 12 bit MPC3000, save for a few hardware related things like stereo sampling inputs.

I’ve personally owned this beast for 12 years, have banged out countless beats on it, and its never given me ONE problem in all that time…NONE whatsoever.

Unit is in perfect working condition and in very good to great cosmetic condition. Nothing is broken, but there are some spots where the paint has rubbed off, which is normal for a 20+ year old machine. LCD screen works perfect but the backlight has long since faded. Not a huge deal unless you’re making beats in total darkness. If it bothers you, you can pick up a replacement backlight on ebay for like $35 (its a simple job to replace, I’ve done it for one of my other samplers).” Link

Cosmetically a little bit rough there’s a line gone in the screen up the top of lcd does nt really effect reading the lcd and rotary encoder loose internally but works perfectly .

All pads, buttons, sliders working perfectly no sticky buttons or crackly pots technically evrything functions perfectly and sound awesome 12 bit grit

The unit itself is in GREAT physical condition, with only minor scuffs and indentions, which can be seen in the pictures below. It’s in perfect working order as well, but being a vintage piece of equipment, it’s being sold “as-is” with no returns. The MPC 60 is famous for its 12 bit sampling engine sound that modern equipment is so far unsuccessfully trying to “emulate”. This unit I bought last year, not because i needed it, because they are so beautiful.

i am heart broken to have to be getting rid of this mpc, but baby items are not cheap and its all i can sadly live without in my studio.

she has had a full service, this included new backlight, shell and buttons getting a deep clean, new fuses, volume pot, data wheel, all outputs and inputs cleaned and checked, and a new floppy drive fitted.

I was convinced that I would be buried with this thing and that is why it has received such care and attention.” Link

Please read below before bidding.

Up for auction is my MPC, this unit works [ playback, sequencing and sampling all fine ] and sounds, beautiful, punchy beats that have that crunch and the timing of the sequencer is lengendary as I’m sure you know.

I have installed SCSI and upgraded the OS to the latest version, the disk drive works fine, as does the display and all the buttons BUT there are issues that you must be aware of before bidding:

1. Cosmetically it has seen better days [ see pics ], ideally it needs a paint job it was in this condition when I bought it 6-7 years or so ago.

2. It occasionally crashes not everytime you use it but it does crash sometimes, I know very little about the tech side of these samplers so I’m not sure if this is something that commonly happens to MPCs or whether this is a service issue.” Link

“immer noch die beste MPC, will jetzt nicht zu sehr ausholen aber wenn Dr.Dre und z.B. Dj Premier 25 Jahre später immer noch damit arbeiten dann hat es wohl seinen Grund….crispy 12 Bit Sound mit unerreichtem Groove..die perfekte Mischung : D

Mängel sind der fehlende Potti (der schalter funktioniert) und der lockere Volume Potti (kratzt ein wenig) ansonsten läuft die alte lady ohne probleme

wollte beides reparieren und sie für 800 reinsetzen, aber mittlerweile will ich nur noch schnell die sachen loswerden damit ich mich wieder auf die musik konzentrieren kann” Link
