When installed, this board adds a low pass, high bass and band pass filter, and some additional EQ settings. Nun ist es soweit, ein weiteres geliebtes Stück bester Hardware wird mein Studio verlassen. Der AKAI S3000 ist ein Klassiker unter den Samplern, ein zuverlässiges und solides Gerät, 32-stimmig im 16-bit Samplingformat – es war viele Jahre der kreative Mittelpunkt meines Studios. Besonders die Möglichkeiten der Klanggestaltung durch die beiden ENV Generatoren und die zwei L.F.Os haben mich begeistert.
Die Bedienfront ist sehr gut erhalten, ohne nennenswerte Gebrauchsspuren. (Kleine Kratzer dort, wo die Rackschrauben sitzen) Auf der Geräteoberseite sind ein paar Kratzer von meinem einmaligen Studioumzug. Das Gerät war von meinem Neukauf an stets Teil meines Nichtraucherstudios. Es funktioniert einwandfrei, das Display ist etwas altersschwach, man kann aber noch alles lesen.
Den internen Speicher habe ich damals auf 26MB erweitert.” Link
