Euer Vorteil: Die Sachen funktionieren miteinander, Ihr habt keine Rennerei mehr, um die passenden Zubehörteile zu finden (das hat mich einige Wochen gekostet) – alles schon da! Die Software (MESA) zum Parametrieren des S3000XL kann aus dem Internet geladen werden, ebenso der Treiber für die SCSI-Karte.
Das Display ist altersbedingt etwas kontrastarm, aber durchaus noch gut ablesbar. Durch Druck auf den Kontrastregler lässt sich übrigens die Hintergrundbeleuchtung ein- und ausschalten. Der Sampler ist voll funktionsfähig. Oftmals werden Geräte verkauft, deren SCSI-Sicherung durchgebrannt ist (siehe http://akaiscsifaq.digidude.net/akaifaq_scsi_fuse.htm). Das war bei diesem Gerät auch der Fall, wurde aber behoben, an der Gehäuserückseite befindet sich nun eine problemlos austauschbare Schmelzsicherung.

Ok. there is no such thing as a Turbo model
I’m just pointing out that this model has the full 32Meg memory and EB16 Effects board fitted and also has a CD-Rom Drive fitted to the Scssi on the back !
This sampler is an All time classic and although being obsolete now can still found working in many recording studios all over the world.
The sampler has only been used in my home studio and never gigged and is in excellent working order.
This is my favourite piece of gear ever and has served me well.
It is obviously midi compatible with an in/out/thru
It has Stereo L+R ins , An Amazing 10 OUTS ! ( 8 invidual outs and a stereo pair ) and Digital in/Outs which i used to save/load my work. See picture !!

I dont use it much anymore and so sell this sampler,this one hase a scsi compact flash cardreader inplace of the floppy drive,the sampler hase 32 mb memmory and the 8 outputboard installed,scsi is standard at the back,the sampler works great and the scsi cardreader makes this one a rare and special s3000xl sampler!
All knobs button working ok! the volume knob can be a litle bit noisy when you rotate him,this is because dust,cleaning the volume pot fixes the problem but like i said its not annoying its fine to work with,the display shines less than it were new ,but its still good readable.
The scsi cardreader comes from scsi for samplers ,it wase made for using inside a s6000 but ofcourse can be installed inside other music equipment.
Only the scsi cardreader is worth the start bid,scsi cardreaders are hard to find and expensive!

“I have powered it up and ran the tone signal but that is it. Everything functions as it should, buttons, dials, etc.
I am selling this with the manual that I have printed out (if you want it) it is HUGE! This thing has so much power and capability.
