“Here’s an Akai S3000XL sampler in really nice condition. The floppy drive functions fine. The display is clear and readable as seen from one of the pics. I took a picture of the inside to show how clean it is, and to show that both memory slots are occupied. I think that is a total of 16Mb of memory. It has been in storage for a while, so it’s time move on. I’ve noticed every once in a while when it’s first turned on, that it won’t initialize properly and the display is blank. I think it may be just a sticking relay, because it always comes on immediately if you tap on the top of the case and power it up again. This is the only issue I’m aware of. I’m throwing in a nearly new SCSI CD-Rom with a SCSI cable, both power cords (cords not pictured) for the sampler and SCSI drive, the original manual for the sampler, and as a bonus: several CD-Roms of sounds and samples. Some in Akai format, some not. Some can be read by the SCSI drive and some can’t, but can be read in a computer’s drive. A couple of titles are “Malice in Wonderland”, “Drum Tools”, etc. Just consider the CD’s of sounds as a grab-bag of extra goodies. Sorry about the shipping cost, but both of these are big and heavy. ” Link

“Ich biete meinen Sampler S3000XL nebst Plextor CD-Writer und iomega ZIP-Laufwerk zzgl. SCSI-Karte (Adaptec PCI SCSI Controller AVA-2904) als Komplettpaket an.

Euer Vorteil: Die Sachen funktionieren miteinander, Ihr habt keine Rennerei mehr, um die passenden Zubehörteile zu finden (das hat mich einige Wochen gekostet) – alles schon da! Die Software (MESA) zum Parametrieren des S3000XL kann aus dem Internet geladen werden, ebenso der Treiber für die SCSI-Karte.

Das Display ist altersbedingt etwas kontrastarm, aber durchaus noch gut ablesbar. Durch Druck auf den Kontrastregler lässt sich übrigens die Hintergrundbeleuchtung ein- und ausschalten. Der Sampler ist voll funktionsfähig. Oftmals werden Geräte verkauft, deren SCSI-Sicherung durchgebrannt ist (siehe http://akaiscsifaq.digidude.net/akaifaq_scsi_fuse.htm). Das war bei diesem Gerät auch der Fall, wurde aber behoben, an der Gehäuserückseite befindet sich nun eine problemlos austauschbare Schmelzsicherung.
