“An Akai S20 sampler. I purchased this unit locally from someone in the summer of 2003. The person I bought it from was not the original owner either. I do not have Sounds Disks #1 or #2. As a trivia note, I’ve heard people using this as a MIDI foot pedal (I guess you’d have to take off your shoes and punch with your toes–a Filipino turntablist hit me off on this tip). I’ve never tried it though, because I’m not nerdy enough to mess with SysEx or Plogue Bidule and all that good stuff.

Okay, I don’t know if this unit works. I am 99.9% sure that it does. I let my friend borrow it and when he returned it to me, he didn’t return the AC Adaptor. He gave me these MIDI cables, but no power supply. That said, selling AS-IS. I just want to get rid of this thing *whimpers*. I want it to go to a home where it will be appreciated. ALL the buttons have that crisp plastic *click* to it. You either love, hate, or don’t care about this type of tactile feel. Only damage is cosmetic. The coloring of the plastic being exposed to air. Includes instruction manual, two sound disks, two midi cables, and installed 16MB RAM. Unfortunately, NO POWER SUPPLY. There are many universal adapters available on the market. NOTE: You will need a 4.8×1.7mm tip.” Link
