“This is an Akai MPC 1000 in overall good condition and ALL functions work properly. However, there are a few caveats: The “Pad Bank A” button is missing (recently broke) and will need to be replaced, and there are a couple of buttons (Pad bank B and C, full level, mode, and window) that occasionally need a few presses to register on the unit. I am not exactly sure the reason behind this, as the actual buttons and switches are fully in tact physically. It is possible that the sensors or electronics may need to be cleaned (many MPC users have had success with using “DeOxit” to fix conductivity issues with their machines), however I do not have the desire to undergo the procedures myself. Thankfully, parts for this machine are easy to find online and thus with a little patience this MPC can be up and running as if it were new. Aside from these quirks, The machine itself has just a few scratches and no significant cosmetic damage (see pictures). JJOS2XL already comes preloaded with the option to also boot into JJOS3. The RAM has been upgraded to 128 MB. The original pads (included) have been upgraded to black thick fat pads from mpcstuff.com, and it also has the new style pad sensor sheet installed. Most of the buttons, wheels, and knobs have also been replaced by black versions for a monochrome color scheme. In addition, this unit comes with the original box, power cable, and a 32 GB CF card.
