“Hello, this auction is for an Akai MPC 1000 sampler/sequencer. It’s in excellent cosmetic and working condition. All the buttons, pads, sliders, and knobs work great. It’s the blue model with original pads which I actually prefer to the later pads; I think they feel much more sturdy. I’m not the original owner but I’ve had it for awhile and have never had any problems with it. I only used it for sequencing house and techno stuff so I wasn’t banging on the pads or taking it to MPC battles or anything. Installed is JJ OS2XL which is an aftermarket operating system that costs $123. It adds TONS of features to the MPC 1000 and a quick Google search will reveal rave reviews of JJOS across the board from producers of all types of music who swear by it. After using JJ OS2XL I could never go back to the Akai factory operating system! It turns the MPC into a whole different machine. Also included are the manual, quick start guide, power cord, a 128MB RAM upgrade and 2 Compact Flash cards – a 16GB and a 4GB. I found the 16GB card after taking pictures so it’s not in the above photos but it will be included. The MPC will be insured for the amount of the winning bid and safely packaged with foam and bubble wrap – I’m a former shipping clerk with a lot of experience packaging electronics.
