“Hi there, I am selling my beloved MPC 1000 (downgrading to 500). It is in good condition and full working order. There are a couple of light scuffs on the unit, purely cosmetic and nothing that affects its performance in anyway. Never had any probs with pads etc. Now the good stuff: Memory is maxed at 128 meg. I will ship with a 2GIG CF (paid £20)card that contains the entire LOOPMASTERS SOUNDSET that ships with the flagship 5000! This is an awesome sounding and diverse collection of drum kits/ samples and loops so you can start making pro quality beats and compositions straight away. This really makes a joke of the supplied factory sounds the 500/1000/2500 usually ships with ( which I no longer have BTW so that is not included in auction, just to be clear). I believe these sounds purchased seperately would cost over £150. NB I guess due to a backward(or downward?) compatability issue, the MPC 1000 wont read the PROGRAM data of the LOOPMASTERS Soundset. ALL THIS MEANS is that you have to assemble the kits i.e. assign sounds(WAVS) to pads and save, yourself. The kits themselves are all neatly arranged into named folders i.e. AFROBEAT KIT FOLDER will contain all drum sounds for that kit, so you wont get lost, although there are also master folders containing ALL KICKS, ALL SNARES etc. if you want build your own custom kits that way. Anyway, It’s a breeze, you can set up a kit in a few minutes, and the samples sound REALLY good, you wont be disappointed. I dont have the manual but you can download it from Akai site.
