“Classic Akai MPC 2000 sampling drum machine.
This is a classic hip hop drum machine/sampler from the 90s used for the heavy beats you know from the likes of DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Just Blaze, DJ Shadow, The Alchemist, Madlib, Jay Dee, etc.
Will be sad to see this go but have come to the realisation that it won’t get used anymore and someone else could make much better use of it.
It has been in clean dry storage for number of years.
The screen has a few lines running through it as you can see in the pictures but doesn’t otherwise affect the functionality.
All buttons and pads working.
Could probably do with a service at some point. I can recommend someone reliable who quoted me £65.
Will be shipped with original owners manual and some floppys operating system floppy disk.
The only negative I could possibly mention is that sometimes the os disk can take 2 attempts to load. I found if I leave the disk in it can sometimes take 2 attempts to load. If I eject it after each session and pop it back in before I turn it on it it’s normally never a problem.
