AKAI MPC2000 in working condition includes:
– 3 separate floppy discs including software 1.72.
– SCSI Zip Drive and programmed for SCSI 5.
– Multiple Pre-formatted Zip Discs with preloaded software 1.72.
– Two 10′ long RCA to 6.25mm (¼”) TRS/TS Cables for I/O.
– Fully upgraded to 32mb RAM (it came standard with only 2mb).
– Original Manual and subsequent supplement manuals.
– Screen has been replaced with 100% of pixels in working order.
– The MIDI Production Center has been tested and is in fully working condition.
I am the only owner and user. I had not turned it on in over 10 years until now to test all buttons and functions. Everything works great. Zip drive functions as expected and I loaded my whole archive and checked my ZIP DISC’s. I have included all unused ZIP Discs and have already formatted and loaded the 1.72 Software to each one for ease of future ownership. Each ZIP will load the software without the need of the floppy disc.
Compared to other searches my machine is in very good condition, many others are scratched and dented. My Machine is free of any major scratches or dents. All photos included are of the specific unit for sale and are not stock or edited photos.
Another added feature is I have already upgraded and maxed the internal memory to 32mb RAM, yeah i know its sounds small but this is adequate and crucial for the serious producer.
It is used and purchased around 1999. I have vacuumed and cleaned the exterior. For a deep clean I would recommend future owner remove the cover for detailing the pads. There is some yellowing of the plastic buttons.
This is a great find for someone that is looking for a original working legacy Akai MPC 2000.”
