Still works just like the first time I powered it on. Comes upgraded with the 8 out board, FX board, and CF card reader. This is such a classic sampler, extremely easy to start making beats on this thing. Akai really knew how to make hardware samplers user friendly. Unlike many other old 2000xl’s the screen on this is in perfect condition, no fading and no lines. Pads are still very responsive. Shift key sometimes needs to be pressed a bit harder at times. This does not affect the functionality of this machine. Some cosmetic signs of use. Comes with the territory of a 20 year old sampler.
