Akai MPC 2500 with 128MB RAM, 130GB HD, DVD-ROM Drive

“I purchase this unit around summertime from a user overseas on eBay, as far as I know I’m the second owner.

I’ve installed jjos 3.61. I will do everything to find the JJOS code that user provided me with when I purchased the unit, but I believe it’s hard embedded into the unit’s BIOS, so even if you overwrite it the OS with a different version, you wouldn’t have to retype the code. I will include the jjos code as well.

I believe the pads are type 2 (better version) because when I move one of them, they all move.

I installed a 130 GB internal pata HDD, as well as a microSD adapter to use instead of a compact flash card, with a 128gb SD card also included.
This also comes with the original 2GB Akai compact flash card as well. I haven’t really messed with the compact flash card the device came with, but it does work. Will include additional adapter for regular sized SD card as well.

I’ve also installed a CD drive that works, just make sure you search the MPC forums to make sure whatever CDs you use for sampling are written in the correct format, or else the CD won’t show up in the device’s load menu.

The condition is used, and there are some blemishes and scratches. Upon initially testing the unit, one of the XLR ports on the back seems a little bit finicky. I’ve sampled records through the “record in” left and right, and have had no issues. It also connects to a computer just fine, and I will include a USB cable for the device as well as a power cable. ” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay
