“this is a practically new mpc 500, boxed and in perfect condition
i bought this around a year ago, to use as a sequencer for outboard synths. i have never sampled with this and only ever used the left output to route the metronome to my mixer. the pads are basically unused, most of the time i connected a midi keyboard to its midi in when recording. i quickly realised that logic’s sequencer is more suited to my needs, and thus this has been boxed and stored away in a dry and cool cupboard for the last six months or so
this has never been gigged
in the short time i did use this sequencer, i found its timing to be incredible. the swing has a very natural feel — my favourite trick was to speed the tempo up to double time but record the midi at half time to get this wonderful groove that i’ve never experienced before with computer sequencers
another cool trick is to hold note repeat whilst pressing a pad at various different velocities. you can get some really unusual drum patterns this way
it comes with an upgraded 128 MB of internal memory, more than enough for lots of samples
i’ll throw in a USB cable for interfacing with a computer. this makes it even easier to sample, just drop a wav file from your computer into the mpc’s folder and away you go
also comes with a 128MB memory card
i’ll also throw in a midi cable and rca lead” Link
