“Up for sale is an extremely rare MPC 3500. I believe there were less than 20 of these prototypes built. It is said that legendary producer “The Alchemist” owns one. These MPC’s are rarely listed! It was essentially a prototype MPC 5000. I purchased this from an Akai product developer from New York several years ago. I have never used the sampler. It has simply been kept as a collectors item. The internal software does show “MPC 5000″ on it but all physical outer parts have the original prototype name of MPC 3500.
