“I’m selling my Akai MPC 5000 Music Production Center. The machine itself works perfectly, but has the infamous reboot issue. In short, this means that randomly the machine will reboot itself ( at it’s worst, sometimes getting caught in a reboot loop )
Generally, I can use this machine for around a half hour before it reboots. This problem is solved by replacing the internal power switch, but I don’t have the know-how or time to replace it myself + I have another MPC 5000 machine that doesn’t have this issue. The MPC5000 is a powerhouse, and I’d like to see this one fixed and used by someone who has the time and resources, instead of collecting dust as I use my working machine.
I’m selling this AS-IS or FOR PARTS. It’s a pretty simple fix, or just a matter of taking it in to an authorized repair center ( some guitar centers will do it apparently).
