“AKAI MPC 60 MkII in overall good condition. I waited a while before I pulled the trigger on this particular unit & it performed flawlessly on my last project. To my ears, it is the best sounding sampler in the infamous Akai family tree… yes better than the 3000.

Stereo out + 8 outputs, pads and buttons all function properly (some buttons will need to be pressed slightly harder than others, it is from 1991..)
Record In works perfectly on low / med. settings however there is a strange grounding issue when it is turned on high. I found absolutely no need to use it passed med, using it on low most of the time. There is plenty of gain before things start saturating and distorting and when you hit that sweet spot… it is a beautiful thing. Gain staging with rec. level in / source volume is everything with the MPC 60.
I have gone through and cleaned thoroughly including dusting inside with compressed air, washing of pads / frame and complete wipe down. Fader moves freely for the most part, just a tad dodgy.
