8MB RAM Expansion Board for Akai S1000 or S1100

“These don’t come up too often now.
This card will increase the memory in an AKAI S1000 or S1100 by 8MB. 8MB = 4 Mwords.
The card was in fully working condition when it was taken out of a working sampler.
I am not sure whether this card is made by Akai, Mutec or one of the other Akai approved manufacturers. there used to be quite a few on the market. Akai called it an EXM-008, Mutec called it a DMC-02, but they all do the same thing.
Please note, a few of the very oldest S1000 samplers needed a small modification to take 8MB cards. When the S1000 first came out, there were only 2MB cards available. The mod is quite easy if you are handy with a soldering iron.” Link
