“This is the Akai S1000KB synthesizer which was the industry standard in it’s time. It has an 8MB card which increases the memory to 10MB. It is the keyboard version of the S1000 Genre and has an iconic place in music history. It is in excellent condition except for the disc drive which appears not to actually work although the led illuminates. The display is clear although I have heared the backlights on some synths can fail, I have not used this synth for some years and I cannot remember how bright it ever was but it seems ok to me. This is a rare machine which has great historical value, I don’t think many of these are likely to be available nowdays as not that many were ever produced. It has never been gigged.
